The startdate of this internship is 01.02.2022 or 01.03.2021 and has a minimum of 3 months and a maximum of 6 montths (32-40 hrs/week). The location for the internship is Arnhem, and home office.

TenneT is growing fast to realize its strategic ambitions. We play a leading role in driving the energy transition. Recruitment of new talent plays a crucial role in this growth ambition. We are looking for a passionate intern who will contribute to this and that might be you?

Your contribution to TenneT

Your main tasks would revolve around reducing TenneT’s indirect emissions. This will be done by aligning TenneT’s climate ambitions with the science based targets initiatives (SBTi). Once an organization has their SBTi targets approved, it is also mandatory to report on the progress of these targets. Besides this, you will dive into:

  • Doing studies about the need to be conducted about the methodologies in reducing TenneT’s scope 3 emissions;
  • Come up with a reporting structure that aptly represents our progress with respects to this target;
  • In addition, research regarding TenneT’s possibilities in carbon dioxide removal strategies would also need to be done. 

Your Profile and background


  • You are currently enrolled in a HBO or WO study in the backgrounds of Sustainability, sustainable economics, sustainable energy technology or environmental economics;

  • You are always proactive and curious to learn, with a passion for sustainability;

  • You possess an analytical background with good communication skills;

  • You are proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint;

  • English language proficiency is a must, with knowledge of Dutch/German being a plus.
