Wat doe je als Intern Financial Control bij TenneT?
The internship will provide invaluable experience within the Accounting and Controlling field, with a greater understanding of day to day finance operations, reporting and controlling activities. IT skills on programmes such as Microsoft Excel will be enhanced. The intern will have the opportunity to work on lean projects within the Financial Control Corporate team and also have exposure and work closely with other departments. The intern will gain a great understanding of how a regulated, dynamic company operates at all levels and will have a well-rounded experience with us.
Your role is to work together with the 'IFRS 16 project team'. The work will be divers, from getting insight in the new IFRS standard to analysing, processing data and presenting the data. You will work together with the Financial Controllers of TenneT.
The IASB has published IFRS 16 – the new leasing standard. It comes into effect on 1 January 2019 with earlier adoption permitted
IFRS 16 'Leases' sets out the principles for recognition, measurements and disclosures regarding leases. The new standard requires lessees to recognise most leases on their balance sheets. Lessees will have a single accounting model for all leases, eliminating the distinction between operating and finance leases. Lessor accounting remains largely unchanged.
The internship will include but is not limited to:
- performing an inventory of contracts involved and understanding the impact of the new standard
- extracting, gathering and validating lease data,
- follow-up by processing the data in ERP system
- assessing the impact
- preparing for the re-design of the IT systems and processes impacted by the new standard
Wat verwachten we van jou?
- you study Business Economics or Accountancy at a university of applied sciences
- you are proficient in the Dutch language
- experience with spreadsheet software (e.g. Excel) is preferred
- basic knowledge of IFRS
- strong analytical skills
- fast learner
- capable of meeting strict deadlines
- dedicated and accurate
- self-starter (proactive)
